A History of Innovation
Midway is an investment and development firm that creates enduring investments and remarkable places that enrich people's lives. Our ability to achieve this is rooted in our commitment to quality. It is our belief that "quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intentions, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives." This commitment to quality extends to our people, our projects, and our process.
The combination of our uniquely talented people, project expertise, and management process form the foundation of our ability to provide our clients and investors with the highest level of service. Additionally, this foundation provides us the unique ability to execute projects of all sizes and virtually unlimited complexity across multiple property types. Midway has always delivered above and beyond the services required to perform the task.
Jim Moran was a real estate hall of famer, a world-class rowing marathoner, a Vince Lombardi footballer, a director of too many boards to list and a U.S. Navy serviceman. Jim was never one to lose himself in self-importance, nor would he tolerate egos in his associates, dismissing grandiose, selfish behavior as so much noise useful only for obscuring the facts.
Jim's word and his great character were his reputation and his expressed wish was to die in his office, at 90 years of age, still actively making real estate deals. Jim fell short of his goal, not because he lost the battle with his illness, but as he put it, he ran out of time. Jim's spirit, his values, and his reputation are central to every conversation Midway conducts.
In 2008, to honor and recognize our partners, we created the Moran Legacy Award.
