Highly-anticipated mixed-use development located just steps from Texas A&M University to feature 60-acres of preferred retail, restaurant and entertainment
HOUSTON, TEXAS (September 1, 2015) – Crews continue to push forward on the 60-acre mixed-use development in Bryan-College Station, Texas known as Century Square as Midway announced today the addition of Studio Movie Grill, Blaze Pizza and Neighbors Emergency Center College Station to the project. These will be the developer’s first three tenants to secure space.
Best known for its in-house dining and movie experience, Studio Movie Grill will feature nine screens and approximately 1,100 seats fashioned in all new Inorca©luxury leather recliners in its Century Square location. The 40,253 SF cinema, projected to open in late 2016, will offer guests an elevated movie-going experience complete with the newest technology in sound and high-definition projection, generous space in its comfortable premium bar and lounge areas that’s also available for special events, as well as a gourmet menu with in-theater waiter service. Upon the theater’s opening, guests will be able to reserve seating for their movie of choice by visiting studiomoviegrill.com.
“Expanding our footprint beyond the Houston market and into Bryan-College Station is something we’ve looked forward to for a long time,” said Brian Schultz, Founder and CEO of Studio Movie Grill. "We take pride in bringing the best full-service, in-theater dining experience to new communities, and partnering once again with Midway is key to our success. We are honored to be a part of this major mixed-use community and to introduce new audiences to the Studio Movie Grill concept.”
Providing another option for Century Square visitors is Blaze Pizza, a leading “build your own pizza” experience that has become renowned for the lightening-fast speed at which the pizzas are made. Guests are encouraged to custom build pizzas with healthful, artisanal ingredients as they go down the line to select their toppings, which are unlimited and free. Pizzas are then baked in a blazing hot oven for 180 seconds, and served perfectly fresh and crisp. The 2,600 square foot eatery, projected to open in August 2016, will be located on the plaza with a patio space for al fresco dining. This will be Blaze Pizza’s seventh Texas location and the first in the Bryan-College Station region. Visit blazepizza.com for more information.
“We are thrilled to continue expanding locations throughout Texas and the U.S., and Century Square is an ideal location,” says Greg Hazard, COO of Paradigm Investment Group, LLC and operators of the Blaze Pizza franchise. “We look forward to introducing the area to our restaurant and to be part of this fantastic new mixed-use community.”
Also joining the community will be Neighbors Emergency Center College Station (NECCS), a 24-hour, 7-days a week operation that will provide comprehensive emergency medical treatment and services to the College Station area. Designed to decrease normal hospital wait times, patients at NECCS can expect to see a physician within five minutes of arrival at the facility. Patients also will receive top- notch, experienced care, as Neighbors Emergency Center College Station will serve as a true patient concierge model. The 5,000 square foot center is projected to open in June 2016.
“We look forward to serving the people in the Bryan-College Station area and becoming a true and good neighbor,” said Bruce McVeigh, COO of Neighbors Health System, Inc.
With more than 200,000 people now calling Bryan-College Station, Texas home, developments such as Century Square become an important make-up of the region’s overall landscape by helping to attract businesses and retailers that would best serve the growing residential population.
“Welcoming Studio Movie Grill, Blaze Pizza and Neighbors Emergency Center College Station as Century Square’s newest anchors validates the excitement about what’s on the horizon for the project,” says Jonathan Brinsden, CEO of Midway. “Leasing interest in Century Square is very strong and we are taking our time to curate the right tenant mix for this unique destination.”
Century Square features 60-acres of preferred retail, restaurant, and entertainment options, along with 90,000 SF of Class-A office space outfitted in a contemporary, modern aesthetic and further complemented by onsite luxury apartment homes. The destination will also be home to two full service hotels, The George (160-rooms) and Cavalry Court (140-rooms), developed in partnership with the Houston-based luxury hotel management firm The Valencia Group. Both hotel concepts are set to elevate the travel experience for Bryan-College Station visitors and will feature a mixture of outdoor elements and high-end accommodations not traditionally seen in the area.
Century Square will open in the fall of 2016.
