CITYCENTRE is a mixed-use district strategically located at the intersection of I-10W and Beltway 8 in one of the wealthiest zip codes in Texas – 77024. The multi-acre development is a thoughtfully planned and meticulously executed self-contained community of sophisticated retail, elegant dining, programmed entertainment, Class-A office space, corporate penthouse residences, luxurious brownstones and lofts, upscale apartments and the 266-room Hotel Sorella, a world-class hospitality and conference facility. Surrounded by European-style open-air plazas and beautifully designed green spaces, CITYCENTRE is one of the most successful live-work-play districts.

Of the office space available, CITYCENTRE encompasses 625,000 square feet of Class A office space. All five buildings boast ground level retail tenants totaling 400,000 square feet of retail amenities. Residential properties at CITYCENTRE include 992 multi-family and single-family residences. Hotel Sorella serves as the anchor to CITYCENTRE's central plaza with adjacent meeting space at Norris Conference Center from 430 to 7,700 square feet.

The project design includes high energy efficient standards, featuring high efficiency glass, drip irrigation in the landscaping, and an eco-friendly plaza turf. The hotel was purposefully placed in its location to help shade the plaza from the sun and heat in the afternoons to encourage patrons to experience evening district events. The customer experience is the central focus of the design aspect at CITYCENTRE, and the team used innovative features to help bring a sense of community and togetherness to the project.

 

Development

In May 2004, Midway Companies purchased Town and Country Mall. After months of studying and traveling to 27 projects in 17 cities throughout the U.S., they determined the site would be ideal for an urban mixed-use project, and committed to create a true "urban district." The Midway team developed CITYCENTRE as a collection of well-designed buildings, rather than following one homogenous look throughout the project. This timeless design enhances long-term value and integration into the urban district.

Leasing

With 400,000 square feet of upscale shopping and signature dining, CITYCENTRE's retail and restaurant tenants represent top brands in the country, such as: Anthropologie, lululemon, J.Crew, Sephora, Eddie V's Prime Seafood and Yard House. CITYCENTRE is also home to Life Time Athletic, a state-of-the-art urban fitness facility and medi-spa and Studio Movie Grill, an eight-screen premier cinema.

With more than 6,000 square feet of programmable space, CITYCENTRE'S uniqueness as a multi-use district creates a vibrant and exciting environment through special events. CITYCENTRE hosted more than 225 events in 2016, the constant programming and activity in the plaza is a key component to the success of the project. CITYCENTRE has become a true destination and staycation location that brings renewed interest to the area with visitors from around the world, including guests from 52 countries and six continents.
